the Mummy in the Room

Ugh!!  Math.  So boring.  Hey.  I’m Lilly.  I have blond hair and blue eyes.  I am 9 years old, and I hate school.  As you may have guessed, I am at school, which is a bummer for me.  Thank goodness I only have one more class.  Unfortunately, it’s math, the most horrible subject of all.

Anyway, we were all doing tests when someone called my name.  I looked up, but everyone was busy.  Confused, I went back to my test.

“Lilly!” The mysterious person whispered.  This was getting really creepy, so I pretended that I did not hear whoever was calling me.

“Lilly!” The someone said a bit louder.  I looked up and screamed.  Everyone else in the room looked up to see what all the commotion was.  They screamed too.  At the teacher’s desk, where Ms. Sarah was supposed to be, was a mummy.  Everyone started to run around the room screaming, while the mummy walked over to my desk.  I held my breath.

“Lilly!” It said.  “You-” But thank goodness that it was interrupted by the bell! Ding Dong! I grabbed my books an all, and stuffed it in my bag and ran out the classroom.

I quickly sat in the car.

“What’s wrong?”Asked Mom.  “You looked like you saw a ghost!” “Something like that.  I just want to get home as fast as possible,” I replied.
