Chip & Dale

I love chipmunks.  They’re so cute and warm and cuddly.  I just wish that I could have one, but Mom and Dad don’t let me. They say that I am to young to have one.

I am so sorry.  Where are my manners? My name is Amanda.  I have a twin sister who also likes chipmunks. I love nature, I am not bad in my studies and I love to draw.

Anyway, I am sitting in a restaurant with my family.  It was probably 5:15 A.M.  I was staring out the window at the pet store.  Annie was doing the same.

Mom might have noticed, because she said, “Don’t even think about it! You are not getting a pet. Who is going to clean it? Who is going to train it?” Dad joined her.

“Your mother is right.  At least prove yourself,”He said.  Annie glanced at me with a look that said This is our chance!

“Yes Dad! Of course we can prove ourselves!”I said.  “What do we have to do?”Asked Annie.  Mom frowned.  She also looked at Dad, curios for an answer.

“Train the neighbor’s dog.  They are going to California for a week, so they are giving their dog to us,”Dad explained.  “You have to train the dog to do everything you can think of in one week.”

So we did what he asked.  We trained the dog to sit down, do a handshake, play fetch, stand on his hind legs, and anything else you can think of.

Then tim passed, and a week was over.  We waited in the living room impatiently, for the ‘results of the test.’

Finally, Mom and Dad strolled in.

“Something is waiting for you outside,”Mom said.  We rushed out to find a cage with 2 chipmunks inside.  Their collars said Chip and Dale.
